Mr. Kynion is an Environmental Scientist with Terra Technologies' St. Louis office. Mr. Kynion has significant experience in all aspects of environmental due diligence as part of property transactions and been involved in a wide array of investigations and remedial actions from All Appropriate Inquiry/Phase I Environmental Site Assessments through Underground Storage Tank Removal and soil remediation projects.
Selected relevant project experience includes:
- Loop Center North B/VCP Remedial Actions : Mr. Kynion provided oversight and project support for a site in the Brownfields/Voluntary Cleanup Program of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The project involved Remedial Action Plan (RAP) and Quality Assurance Project Plan Preparation (QAPP), oversight of asbestos abatement and miscellaneous hazardous material removal, building demolition, hydraulic lift removal and removal of four underground storage tanks. Gasoline impacted soil was encountered and a total of 2,000-tons of impacted soil was removed and properly disposed. The site received a Certificate of Completion to allow future site development to occur with no restrictions on future use.
- Mercury Investigations and Remedial Actions : Performed site investigations and provided oversight of remedial actions at sites contaminated with elemental mercury for a confidential Midwestern natural gas supplier. A Lumex Mercury Vapor Analyzer (MVA) was used to identify areas of mercury impact and to direct remedial actions. Post excavation confirmatory soil samples were collected to verify completeness of impacted soil removal activities.
- Heartland Regional Medical Center UST Removals : Mr. Kynion provided project oversight and project management for the removal of one 2,000-gallon Emergency Generator underground storage tank and three 15,000-gallon fuel oil heating oil USTs. The Emergency Generator tank was closed under the Underground Storage Tank Program of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The heating oil tanks were not regulated under the UST Program of the MDNR, but the guidelines were followed and reporting performed for documentation purposes for the client.
All Appropriate Inquiry/Phase I Environmental Site Assessments : Mr. Kynion has performed and managed numerous Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) throughout the Midwest as part of Property Transactions. Sites ranged from vacant or undeveloped properties through complicated industrial facilities with numerous Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs).
