On behalf of Triad Development, Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of streams and wetlands across this approximate 400-acre undeveloped parcel as part of proposed residential subdivision development. For the jurisdictional assessment, Terra Technologies wetland scientists identified and delineated 4,545 linear feet of stream channel and 5.78 acres of wetlands within the limits of permanent impact, which later received concurrence by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on subsequent site inspections. Terra Technologies completed all environmental permitting documentation including the Section 404 Individual Permit application, Jurisdictional Assessment, Alternatives Analysis reporting, and detailed onsite Compensatory Mitigation Planning for unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional environs at the project site.
Following Public Notice, as part of this Individual Permit application, Terra Technologies coordinated efforts between the owners and multiple project engineers regarding formulation of responses to comments received through the Public Notice. Terra Technologies completed a Response to Public Comment document for review by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and assisted with archeological issues pending at the proposed project site.
The project has since been issued a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 permit as well as a Missouri Department of Natural Resources Water Quality Certification. The approved Compensatory Onsite Mitigation Plan, as developed by Terra Technologies, includes the construction of 10-acres of wetland habitat and 11-acres of riparian corridor restoration along reaches of two perennial streams.
