David Flick, principal and founder of Terra Technologies, is proud to announce the completion of the Public Notice period for the proposed establishment and operation of the Spring River Stream & Wetland Mitigation Bank located in Lawrence County in southwestern Missouri.
The Public Notice was conducted by the Little Rock District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in order to receive input from commenting regulatory agencies and the public regarding this project which will create or restore more than 26 acres of wetlands and in excess of 140 acres of riparian habitat surrounding more than 2.5 miles of streams on a well situated property bounded by two large and biologically significant rivers. These restoration activities will provide compensatory mitigation for impacts to waters of the United States, including streams and wetlands, throughout the watersheds of the Spring and Elk Rivers in very southwestern Missouri.
SWPPP inspections will be required until the construction is complete and long term stormwater controls are in place. At that time the BMPs will no longer be needed to prevent sediment and pollution from leaving the site. Site construction is anticipated to begin in 2010.
