Terra Technologies and Swallow Tail Design Build Inc. have been awarded a contract to provide natural resource management of 15 storm water ecobasins and a bioengineered stream channel for the City of Independence, Missouri.
Management tasks include annual ecological site assessments for the presence of noxious and invasive weeds and the control of objectionable colonizing weed species within a set distance from surrounding residential improvements. Maintenance includes monthly spraying of target control species, cleanup of unauthorized compost and limb piles, selective reseeding of specified areas, and general correction of limited erosion rilling. Field work is being completed by Swallow Tail Design Build Inc., the firm’s affiliate.
The aforementioned work is being conducted for the Water Pollution Control Department at the City of Independence, Missouri. The contract extends through June 2015.
