David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces the firm has successfully completed Clean Water Act permitting for the Fry Wagner Commercial Development in Lenexa, Johnson County, Kansas. Craig Gump, Terrestrial Ecologist with the firm, served as project manager.
A total of 919 lineal feet of jurisdictional intermittent stream channel and 0.77 acres of jurisdictional palustrine emergent wetlands exist on the parcel. As overall impacts exceeded a total of 0.50 acres, an Individual 404/401 Permit was required for the project. Terra Tech assisted the owner in responding to substantive Public Comments received from the Public Notice, provided an alternatives analysis, and worked with the project engineer to redesign the project to minimize impacts to the single jurisdictional stream channel. Terra Tech is further assisting the owner in satisfying mitigation requirements by obtaining bids for Third-Party mitigation credits. The project is scheduled to begin construction in the summer of 2011.
