Scientists with Terra Technologies in conjunction with Lutjen Inc. recently assisted the City of Kansas City, Missouri and a project prime contractor in a biological assessment of proposed stream corridor disturbance associated with the expansion of North Amity Avenue at Tiffany Springs Parkway in Platte County, Missouri.
The scientific assessment analyzed the extent of riparian species distribution, determined the resulting amount of impact debits, and developed a suitable plan creating the required number of mitigation credits. The project attained compliance with the new stream protection buffer ordinance proposed for adoption by the City of Kansas City.
The firm also handled state and federal submittals required by the US Army Corps of Engineers in compliance with Sections 401 & 404 of the Clean Water Act.
